SPOOKY CHANNEL wins the Grade 3 W. L. McKnight Stakes at Gulfstream.
SPOOKY CHANNEL(seen here in the familiar colors of Terry Hamilton who also owned MG1W millionaire HEART TO HEART) rallied from off the pace to win the $200,000 G3 W. L. McKnight Stakes on the Pegasus Day under-card at Gulfstream Park this weekend.
Relishing every inch of the 1 & 1/2 mile turf race, Spooky Channel sat comfortably mid pack for the first mile, made his move early going four wide around the last turn to catch fellow ENGLISH CHANNEL sired CROSS BORDER at the wire. Winning by at neck with odds of 36-1!
SPOOKY CHANNEL won the turf Paradise "Horse of the Meet" last year having triumphed in five races that included three stake races!
